Are you frustrated by putting in the work but not seeing the outcome? You’re not alone. I’m Dr. Jeff Cumro, and in my 15 years of practice, I’ve helped thousands of clients optimize brain function, body performance, sleep quality—and ultimately, their energy. Today we’re uncovering the real reasons people fail to hit their health goals—and exactly how to fix it.
🧭 The 4 Pillars of Health
- Diet
- Movement
- Sleep
- Stress Management
These pillars make up the chiropractic health paradigm, but most people tackle these inconsistently. But to truly heal—whether you’re losing weight, reversing chronic disease, or improving mental clarity—you need to stack them consistently. Miss one, and everything else falters.
For example, one person’s diet is going to be better for them than it will for someone else… we all have genetic variances. This is part of the reason that health is so challenging – we’re led to believe that what worked for someone else will be the exact same for us. The strategies likely will be, but the tactics may look totally different.
✅ Consistency Beats Intensity
Even if you’ve tried everything—diets, workouts, sleeping more—what often trips people up isn’t a lack of intent. It’s influence from others:
- Well-meaning friends say: “Just one drink won’t hurt.”
- Family guilt-trips derail your goals.
- You slip back into the average.
Success requires a radical decision:
Taking personal responsibility and saying “I don’t care what anybody else thinks…This is who I am.”
🛠️ Real Transformation Requires Boundaries
To break free from the average, you must:
- Decide you’re doing this—for you.
- Set boundaries with people and environments.
- Walk away from influences that sabotage you.
It’s not about blame—it’s about choosing your own path when it matters.
💡 My Personal Story
After college, battling autoimmune issues, I realized I needed tweaks—in diet (goodbye gluten, dairy, alcohol) and sleep—to truly heal. I already had solid habits in place, so it took targeted, consistent adjustments.
When you build on a foundation—diet, sleep, movement—you gain momentum. Then stress management (breathing, micro-breaks, time-outs) becomes so much easier.
